Mail keeps showing unread although I just read it. PDF Print

Sometimes it can happen that the Cyrus IMAP index file keeping track of the read/unread flags on the server is broken.

To fix this, open terminal and cd into:
(Assuming you are using the default paths; if not adjust)

/var/imap/user/firstletterofusername/

You should see a list of files that look something like:

username.seen

Make a copy and delete the one belonging to the user you have problems with.
